Speaking of gay people on TV, check out this painful trailer for logo’s upcoming reality TV show, The A-List:
All I will say is this: Watching that trailer made me very thankful that I don’t share their perspective on life. I’ll leave it at that.

Yep, I can definitely agree with that, I’d hate to be them…
They sound like they wouldn’t be happy without money…
September 6, 2010 at 2:48 pm
People who really “have it all” are happy in their own lives, and don’t feel the need to constantly show off, and prove that they “have it all.” I feel sorry for these people.
September 6, 2010 at 2:49 pm
Another reason why Logo sucks! You need some hard-hitting drama series to bring ur viewers back! Waste of time!!! rating: 0
September 6, 2010 at 2:50 pm
love it!
September 6, 2010 at 2:50 pm
I don’t have it all. What would be the fun in having it all?
September 6, 2010 at 2:51 pm
Are they all shallow?
September 6, 2010 at 2:51 pm
is this like “real housewifes” but just with gays? no thanks.
September 6, 2010 at 2:52 pm
Who, in their right mind would be drawn to be like that?
– thank god!
I mean is that really all they want to accomplish in life? – to be on a A-List? But that’s their path, not mine
September 6, 2010 at 3:02 pm
its shallow !!! im jelous ha ,how can i become an A-list gay lol
September 6, 2010 at 3:06 pm
Ok Ill be the one to say it. Spoiled rich and snobby!
It’s ok to enjoy finer things in life if you can but that’s just going overboard.
September 6, 2010 at 3:12 pm
I agree with you. Not for me. Don’t want to be on the A list.
But I will TOTALLY watch the show. I know, I am a tool…
September 6, 2010 at 3:14 pm
Two problems with possible solutions here: Those shows will only exist IF people watch them. But more importantly, do you want to watch somebody else’s life (which seems better and very shallow) rub on your face at all times? Don’t support it… don’t watch it… don’t give in. That’s not the average gay men and it’s obvious that LOGO isn’t interested in the average, but instead in the shallow and over the top.
September 6, 2010 at 3:16 pm
They are so spoiled with money and drinks
September 6, 2010 at 3:19 pm
Although I don’t agree with it, part of me really wants to see at least one episode of that show! I need help!
September 6, 2010 at 3:21 pm
Sadness. People like this have always existed, both gay and straight. Their story usually ends the same way: As pitiful curiosities and withered remains of bygone times.
September 6, 2010 at 3:23 pm
the “A-list” is like Santa Claus or religion. it’s only real if you believe it is, but holds no depth in the real world, and revolving your life around it will NOT make you a productive member of society.
September 6, 2010 at 3:33 pm
What a bunch of self-involved parasites! I only hope they are “acting” the part and don’t truly believe ANYBODY wants to be them.
September 6, 2010 at 4:00 pm
Ewwww
September 6, 2010 at 4:05 pm
Another show that features over the top, flaming, queeny gay guys? Are we not at our limit yet?
September 6, 2010 at 4:08 pm
OMG!!!!! This show makes me feel blessed to be Dutch (I’ll never get to see this crap) and not to be rich in the material sense of the word.
No way would I ever want to become this obsessed with posessions. Eventually, I could end up being a slave to my materialism.
In what world do we live in if being like THIS is something you need to be to validate your existence?
September 6, 2010 at 4:08 pm
i honestly don’t know what to say… To have a persepctive on life like that seems pointless to me.
September 6, 2010 at 4:19 pm
Yea, I’m pretty sickened by this.
September 6, 2010 at 4:20 pm
I agree!!!
September 6, 2010 at 4:33 pm
the only way i would watch this garbage is if i was sick, home from work, and TOO sick to get up to change the channel…. no, not even then.
September 6, 2010 at 4:38 pm
This is terrible… I feel people like this really need to take stock of their lives.
September 6, 2010 at 5:54 pm
I can definitely understand the allure of the high life. After all, my home has a very high standard of living and I’m used to getting what I want immediately. However, that’s because I come from a great economy where everyone shares that lifestyle. These people act like the only thing worth living for is money. I definitely want to have access to all that in my career, but I definitely have real dreams and goals that have more to do with my creativity and my passions in life than money. For me, money is a means to an end, not THE end.
September 6, 2010 at 6:16 pm
Wow…another show about shallow, tweaked out, flamming queens from NYC. Imagine that! This is truly disgusting in all forms of the meaning. Why would anyone want to watch a show about a bunch of obnoxious gay men pretending that they’re “on top of the world”??? If anything, this show just highlights everything that is wrong with gay culture. I think this trailer sums up why I hate elitist queer New Yorkers.
September 6, 2010 at 6:18 pm
That was truly horrid but I figured it would be when I saw you got it off Perez TV I almost didn’t watch just for that reason alone. I can’t stand the “A-List” gays who ever they are.
September 6, 2010 at 6:20 pm
What TRAGIC poofs!!!
September 6, 2010 at 6:28 pm
Oh, I know queens like this. I’m sure we all do.
They’re only happy when everyone else is envious.
Each their own, I say. If it’s what they enjoy, so be it.
September 6, 2010 at 6:58 pm
While all the glitz and glamore may be attractive and appealing, often those who pursue it get mezmerized by it, and thereby become victums of it. If you want to play with fire, be prepared to get burned.
September 6, 2010 at 7:18 pm
sorry guys, but i think it looks amazing
September 6, 2010 at 8:37 pm
Eww. I’m just gonna throw this right out there, wanna just call it the Gay socialites of NYC. What’s the difference between that crap and the crap that Paris Hilton and other wannabe celebrities with no talent to speak of put on “so called” reality tv. While it may be momentarily entertaining, it’s frivolous and detrimental to so many people.
September 6, 2010 at 8:39 pm
The word for this show would be SHALLOW !! Need I say any more?
September 6, 2010 at 9:21 pm
Yet another reason to be pleased that I don’t have a TV! Think I’ll spend the time meeting some intelligent, fascinating people who actually have something interesting to say.
September 6, 2010 at 10:32 pm
Dear Davey…I completely agree with your reaction to that clip. There are those of us who don’t fit into that stereotype and have been reminded by people like those in the clip that we’re not good enough…too ugly…too poor…too fat. To be honest, the gay guys who look as hot as you, Davey, are a lot like that in my experience. I thank my God every day that you’re NOT like that and that you’re a part of my every day life. Thank you so much for your wisdom. I love you as a wonderful human being. Mike
September 6, 2010 at 10:56 pm
This only fuels the fire under homosexual discrimination! We are not all like those men, but society still insists that we are. And when homophobics see this poor excuse for entertainment, they continue to believe homosexuality is only about fashion, popularity and publicity. As a gay teen this makes me sick!
September 6, 2010 at 11:01 pm
I wish someone were making a show about the positive aspects of gay culture and not giving more attention to loathesome people like this, gay or straight.
September 6, 2010 at 11:42 pm
How the hell do I date an A LIST gay. Gay Power couples are the next big thing. POWER GAYS
September 7, 2010 at 1:25 am
Not a good ideology to aspire to to say the least.
September 7, 2010 at 2:57 am
LMAO!! too funny..at least the hot scruffy dark haired guy was hot…18 seconds into the clip. Other than that I would say that was not the A-list more like the FU-bomb, cause most of the guys were Fu#@ing ugly…all dumb as a box of nails…………
September 7, 2010 at 3:38 am
That is seriously a sad thing to watch! Theyre gonna lose it all one day and cry themselves to despair! I hope they learn sometime!
September 7, 2010 at 4:05 am
how embarrassing. Logo is gonna be back-to-back Buffy and THIS s**t? Forget it, I’d rather watch Fox News.
September 7, 2010 at 6:21 am
While I will not deny that I would like to be that loaded, I would never what it to result in people thinking that was the “gay world”. It is just another show that re-enforces what we are trying to get away from. It is not worse than how they portray African-Amercians, though. Stereotypes is sad and horrid, but, just does not seem to piss off no matter how much you want it to.
September 7, 2010 at 7:11 am
Hi Davey,
I agree with your post, however i should also point that the advertising banner at the top of your site is promoting ‘EliteMeeting.com – Date Wealthy Men’.
It’s a little hypocritical, wouldn’t you agree?
September 7, 2010 at 7:28 am
And that goes for the “A” list people in your neighborhood.
September 7, 2010 at 7:32 am
Same thought here.
September 7, 2010 at 7:33 am
well Davey. there is not much more to be said that has not been said on this blog before me.
September 7, 2010 at 8:01 am
As one great song once said: “money makes the world go round” for everyone who has it
September 7, 2010 at 8:26 am
After watching this video — and with apologies to Kathy Griffin — the D-list does not seem to be so bad anymore.
