Today is my birthday. And before I drown myself in a sugar-induced coma of butter cream goodness, I’m making myself a promise: Year 27 will be different.
During my 26 years of practice in human form, I’ve lived a very cautioned life. I’ve always been afraid to keep my kite on anything but a very short string. But I think it’s time to soar.
So, I’m promising myself to do 3 things in my 27th year that take me outside my comfort zone:
- Go to Asia. Whoa. Seriously? Seriously.
- Dive head first into being my own boss. Not a choice: My real job is going to end in the near future. Is a choice: To see this transition as an opportunity and to embrace it fully and completely. I will leave no room for fear.
- ?
Okay, I only have two things so far. But my heart tells me that I’m missing something big.
So, please – help a birthday boy out. What should my third promise be for a more adventurous, less fearful and more fulfilling 27the year? Leave your answer in the comments below!

First of all, Happy Birthday (although it’s not today, sorry).
Second, in my humble opinion, you should not listen to those who say that you should marry your boyfriend or adopt a child or other things that require deep analysis and evaluation of situations (I made a rhyme?). Put your mind in doing something that is for you and your personal growth, if you help and cultivate yourself, you’ll eventually help people by being an improved version of you.
Whatever you do or whichever option you pick to do, make it something that will need you to keep it doing over the years, like learning a new language, the more languages you know, the more people you will understand and the less you won’t, and you can easily learn it in 1 year or less, or try learning how to play a musical instrument, piano’s always a great option, and you can improve your playing over the years.
Also you could make a bucket list with 12 things and try to do one thing each month, so in your next birthday you can do another list, and so on, and so on…

Stop being so egocentrically loving and demonstrate that you really do appreciate the nonmaterial world as being more valuable than asses and c***s and your shirtless body. But then again you use sexual innuendo as bait to attract 90% of your viewers. I guess hypocracy does pay off after all.

Davey I have been reading a long time and I have to say this.
Immigrate to Canada. Marry your hunny and adopt a child. You are now 27, the years only speed up after this. Don’t put parenthood off any longer or you will end up regretting it.

3. DESTROY my “bucket list” and PURSUE it EVERYDAY– Don’t set goals for things you want to do… live it now. You shouldn’t feel pressured into completeing a list– LIVE your list.
But I love your intentions to make a change in your life. You can’t help change other people’s lives unless you change yourself for the better. All the power to you. Can’t wait to hear how your trip is to Asia and Happy Birthday most of all!
