This morning, as I wrote my uncharacteristically long “to-do” list, I found myself surprisingly short on a blog topic. And then it occurred to me: I should blog about the very thing that my busy day would most likely overlook. Beautiful, small things.
Beautiful, small things surround us. In our busy lives, we don’t take the time to appreciate the majesty of this universe. Every now and then, something out of the ordinary catches our eye. A waterfall. A sunset. A hot guy on the street. But in actuality, the ordinary beauty in which we live is truly immeasurable.
When I was in Toronto, I tried to capture the beauty of the ordinary with my camera. Today, I challenged myself to do the same. Here’s what I came up with:
The beauty is here, waiting to be discovered. Instead of thinking about what is next on my to-do list, I’ll shift my focus to appreciate the here and now.
I don’t want to miss it.

I agree with you 100% today as I work here at the limousine company i will take your advice Davey and try to focus on the beautiful and small things which bring joy to my life as i schedule meetings and run around to them and take care of the office functions.

I especially like the picture of the snowfall outside your window. I don’t know if you were intending to catch the reflection of yourself – but there’s something so tender, unintentional, innocent and childlessly unaware in your expression – it’s beautiful.
If it was by mistake – good one – its the little things – the small mistakes almost unnoticed – thought of as imperfections that one later remembers – because these are the things that define our human experience and expres our inner beauty.
