Speaking of fortune cookies, I thought it would be fun to make a few imaginary ones of my own on this beautiful Sunday morning:
- Life is only as boring as you are.
- Better to shoot for stars and land on moon than shoot for mountain and reach it.
- To find yourself: Get lost.
- Like flies to poop, people are drawn to your smile.
- Everything is better naked.
- Wear lots of purple.
- Insulting others says little about them. Lots about you.
- You are da s**t.
- The blame game has no winners.
- When you are 80 years old, your job won’t hold your hand.
- You will be happy when you stop telling yourself, “I’ll be happy when…”
- He who defends himself has no time left to live.
Little-known Davey Wavey fact: Whenever I’m in Chinatown, I always buy a bag of miscellaneous fortune cookies. I try to eat a fortune cookie every day!

Davey, I have the reputation of being a fortune cookie. So I could choose so many things.
I have kept all of my fortunes for the past 4 years. It all started when I received the same fortune twice from the same batch.
I blogged it back when it happened in 05. Out of three, two said the following.
“The love of your life is in front of your eyes.” I have both put away in a safe place. Since then, I know one love but the second love is still a mystery cos it could be one of two guys. The other person is my little star, my baby sister. She is an angel.

I collected the sayings from fortune cookies for a while and i used to tape them to my bedroom wall. They are long gone now however I still have 2 in my wallet they are “your love light shines on another,” and “your success will astonish everyone” they sit in front of my drivers license and every time i see them i re read them and smile
! Mine for the world would be “love your neighbor, because they love you”

This is funny. My friends and i talked about a situation like this before. We imagined if we worked for the fortune cookie factory and type up random messages..
Dumb stuff like: ” your dog will have a 5th leg”
” you are fat” (ouch)
And all sorts or BS…
Besides the BS, i would put inside a cookie: ” your faith lies in your hands” and old say…
Truth: you are responsible for your action.

Thanks for the inclusion of purple–my mom passed away at almost 83 last Spring, several years ago we siblings bought her a nice purple dress and red hat ala the “Red Hatters” which have grown out of the poem, “When I am an old lady I shall wear a red hat with a purple dress…………….”, at Mom’s request, she was buried in her purple dress.
