Through silence, the universe reveals its secrets.
If the silence can’t be improved upon, sometimes it’s best to say nothing at all – and let the quiet stillness speak for itself.

they look all warm and gnarled.
The sight of it makes me wanna lay down on them and touch them with the palm of my hands, my cheek, my belly, with my whole body

I love this post. It’s really similar to one of my own reflections on silence:
Let silence be your greatest listener.
Cheers!

Hello,
Good observation about the silence, your remark is wise. Personally, I’m not used to live with silence. I’m not sure there’s much silence in nature, for that matter! So, I’m always having my breakfast with music – even when I’m studying in the evening! I only need silence when I go to sleep or when I have something complicated to do at work!!!!!

Have a good day!!!!!

this calls to my mind . When you have a problem and have too many conflicting roads that seem like a solution, do nothing and wait… be with the silence that runs behind the chatter.

Davey, your words makes so much sense. Yesterday I went to a Buddhist temple. When u sit down in the temple, the silence takes u into a deep retreat where u can connect and reflect on those thoughts not always connected with. It opens up new thought patterns and insights. We need to connect more often with silence.

Silence is more than an absence of sound. Silence that can transform you is the silencing of the noise of your own thoughts. Many of us have thoughts that race constantly through our heads — anxious thoughts, angry thoughts, regretful thoughts, thoughts of anticipation for something. Because of the race of these noisy thoughts we don’t appreciate this moment of time that we are actually in. We don’t notice the beauty around us. We don’t realize that, at this actual moment, we are OK. The freedom from inner noise is the silence that is the most precious, and it can be found even on a noisy street, but it is easier practicing silence in the beauty of nature.

Silence may be golden, but it can be deafening. (or defining.)

… be still and know that I am God. (it says somewhere in the Bible!) So you have simply caught up with something that has been known to monls and mystics for a long time. It is why Jesus spent time in the wilderness. When we have peace within the outer world has so much to appreciate. When we dtruggle to fill “The Hole In Your Soul” (from ABBA) with fervent activity, it can go nowhere. Abba were right though, Rock and Roll is pretty good too.
