5 Things that I Love About YOU.
July 23, 2010 | 58 Comments

The internet often seems to be abuzz with anger and hate – people complaining about this or that through Twitter, the belittling of others at the expense of a cheap laugh or the occasional Facebook status message that takes things just a little too far. But the Internet is also ripe with higher level emotions like acceptance, love and enlightenment. With the exception of this paragraph, I generally choose to focus on the latter.
Here’s a fun fact that you may not know: According to David Hawkins’ book Power Vs. Force, each emotion has a quantifiable vibrational frequency. Emotions that vibrate below a score of 200 (like pride, fear, grief, guilt and shame) are considered draining. Anything above 200 is empowering.
Enlightenment vibrates at a score of 700 – 1,000 – and Hawkins claims that it takes just one individual at 700 to counterbalance 70 million individuals that are below 200. In other words, Deepak Chopra may be holding together one fifth of the nation. Good for him.
So, in the name of love (which vibrates at 500), I’ve decided to pen a non-exhaustive list of the top 5 things that I love about YOU:
- I love that you are all so diverse. Though I joke about blog buddies being gay and male, some 685,436 women watched my videos last month (compared to 2.4 million men). Blog buddies represent 177 countries and 107 different primary languages.
- I love that you disagree. Your perspectives are as varied as your backgrounds, and I love that you’re not afraid to disagree – and let me know about it. I enjoy entertaining beliefs, thoughts and ideas to which I do not subscribe.
- I love that you share your life with me. So many of you take time to send me notes or e-mails, and to let me know about the challenges and triumphs in your life. Your e-mails, comments and video responses shape the topics of my blog posts and videos. Thank you for sharing so much.
- I love that you don’t take things too seriously. It’s easy to get caught up in the seriousness of life and the things we do, but it’s a lot more fun to be a little bit silly every now and again. I appreciate your silliness and humor.
- Most of all, I love that you are as equally obsessed with foreskin as I am. Whenever I write or video blog about foreskin – love it or hate it – the commentators come out of the woodwork. Who would have though that an inch of skin could elicit so much passion?
I invite you to share in this love-fest and radiate some 500-level energy out into the world by leaving a comment. What do you love about the blog buddies?

I love how you have number 4 “don’t take things too seriously” before 5. “obsessed with foreskin.” eww hahaha. you are so clever Davey Wavey.
its so strange how you preach self-love and yet you are all over the internet with barely any clothes on.its not self-loving or self-respecting to parade around in your underwear, showing yourself off to thousands if not millions of people.i dont what kind of message your sending,mr wavey, but its not the right one-sexually exploiting yourself for mediocre fame and money is not self-love.
Hey, jmike look into the real reason why you made that comment… I sense some hangups.
as they say on the Jessey housewife’s say… Love and Light.
lol i have no hangups..and i have nothing against DW! i think he’s incredibly intelligent and beautiful.but..to me, his philosophies are completely contradictory to his behavior.
Wow. I’m sad because that’s such a narrow and puritanical point of view. As a burlesque dancer, my audiences and I celebrate the beauty of the curves and lines of the human form. It’s art. It’s empowerment. It’s pure. Dave, don’t change a thing!
i think the exact opposite is true – that to parade around in your briefs is in fact an expression of self-confidence, self-love, and self-worth. and i’ll add a couple of points: number one, if you’re a straight woman or a gay man, can you honestly say you are displeased at the sight of davey in his y-fronts? number two, if i looked like davey wavey, i’d be strutting my stuff at every opportunity also, actually more graphically than he does. number three, sexiness and FUN are part of life, part of what it is to be human, and therefore part of what we all need to embrace and celebrate, and that’s part of what davey is saying in all of his blog entries and videos. unclench, everyone – it’s all about love, and sexuality and our bodies are among the many diverse and wonderful things to be explored, expressed, and LOVED. love to you, jonathan L
I’d like to recommend that you read this blog post by Cassidy Haley: http://cassidyhaley.blogspot.com/2010/02/slutsville-usa.html
dear tam – i clicked on that link and read that blog entry, and would like to say right on! perfect contribution to this conversation – love, jonathan L
Why thank you.
And I completely and wholeheartedly agree with everything you said in your post above too.
Jmike…He isn’t doing that at all! How is what he wearing any different than a Bakini bathing suit? Are you suggesting that rather people should be ashamed of their bodies? HE IS NOT NUDE! Davey, is not “sexually exploiting himself.” I’ve never once heard “Mr. Wavey suggest that he was out here for sex! You could use a lesson in respect FOR OTHERS!
Jmike…I enjoy looking at Davey in his skin but find it has become more sensual than erotic…sort of like the ick of thinking about doing it with your bf. I think Davey has a great deal of self-respect and self-love. He is obviously not abusing himself with excess sun and takes good care of himself. If I made a clip I would be wearing a Western Shirt as I do most of the time. Davey has helped to lift my spirits on more than one occasion.
Its like a little community of love. It shows that people of every race and background can honestly get along, and have a good time. Awesome isn’t it?
Love you blog buddies, and of course I love you Davey Wavey
here, here! i have this blog as my home page, and as much as i love davey himself, i love the community that exists here in the comments section – even when we bicker – i feel we’re working in a loving space toward a communion of mind and spirit. my god, i sound like a big old hippie, but anyway… love to you, jonathan L
May I translate it to Spanish and share it at my blog????
So sweet !
Jmike, why should he have to cover up? If he loves his body then what reason is there for him to hide it? Just saying that your view that he’s not self loving because he doesn’t wear clothes isn’t necessarily right.
like i said, malik, sexually exploiting yourself for mediocre fame and money is not self-love.if it was, stripping and hooking would be lucrative careers.
Jmike, stripping and prostitution can be very lucrative careers
I sense a value judgement there. Seeing a body like Davey Wavey’s could be construed as a sexual display, depending on the perspective of the beholder. Personally I find a well toned male body to be a thing of pure beauty and an absolute pleasure to behold. So hey, maybe lighten up a little and realize that we all see things a little bit differently. That is something that I love about people.
One thing that I don’t particularly love about you:
1. You are the biggest tease I’ve ever met – just take off the goddamn shorts and let the world see!
DW-what I like is you do not censer people. Even if someone like me who seems to bust your balls half of the time you have never censored me. That takes courage and honor. I do disagree with you on some issues, you know this. I do wish you put a freaking shirt on but its good you are your own person. I like hearing other comments from other gay men and women. Even though I seem to have the ability to piss some off.
On my blog I take on issues head-on, I take on controversial issues. I have received death threats but I take my beatings and move on. I can’t tell you how many gays, straights, bi-sexual, trans-gender, or whatever I have pissed off, along with conservatives, liberals, progressives, moderates. Then again some of these guys do like what I say. And the ones that don’t always seem to come back for more.
No matter we all our people who have our opinions and our faiths or lack there of. In the end of the day we have ourselves and that is the most important. So with all humility I say thanks..now get freaking dressed would you?
to me, davey’s “no clothes” policy is, as he has explained, him keeping it real – that’s how he lives, therefore that’s how he portrays himself in his videos; anything else would be dishonest. but beyond that, his expressions of physicality and sexuality (not only his state of undress, but also fun, sexy videos like “penises are beautiful” and “flip that trick like a bacon strip”) are an acknowledgement that sexuality is a part of what it is to be human. spirituality, love, kindness, decency, peace, YES to all of the above – but we are also sexual beings, so that needs to be celebrated also. i know, davide, you disagree, so HAVE AT ME! love, jonathan L
Disagree with what? We sexual? Of course we are sexual beings. You live for the thrill of seeing a reaction from me? Guess I can try–it’s not dishonest to be clothed. We were born naked doesn’t mean we should be on camera naked. I don’t know why he half nude constantly or do I care. My point is clothes make the man-think he would look handsome in nice slacks, button down with collar. Does he even own slacks and button down? No one knows–when he’s in shorts and T he’s dressing up. Grazie
dear davide – of COURSE i live for the thrill of a reaction from you! what higher purpose could there possibly be? love to you, jonathan L
5 Things we LOVE about Davey.
1. Your smile – You have a way that when you smile it makes everyone else smile
2. How you never wear a shirt – We all love nipples.
3. They way you say “Blog Buddies” – It always makes me laugh.
4. How you catch or someone is always catching you “playing alone” – Drama!!!
5. The awesome work out videos & Diet Plan – Lost 7 lbs already — Big Thanks for that.
yeah well Davey it’s clear that it’s true what you said about “one individual at 700 to counterbalance 70 million individuals that are below 200.” so often I read in the comments to your posts how you make the day of so many of your fans. though you’re but one single person you can enlighten so many other people. thanks again for that! keep up your good work
There is nothing wrong with Davey showing what he has. He’s fine with it! It’s not like he’s bending over and spreading everything open while parading his tool around. His pics are always tasteful, and his insights are wonderful.
I liked watching DWs video responces where some of his blog buddies didn’t have t-shirts on. Your so cute.
dear davey wavey – on the subject of internet love and hate, as you are no doubt aware someonetoshoutfor did a youtube tribute to you recently, and a former youtube thorn in your side saw fit to reignite the drama that flared up between the two of you in times past. as you often say, the negative comments say so much more about the person making them than they do about the supposed subject of said comments. haters have unresolved issues within themselves, and those who are too blind to see the goodness and love in a person such as yourself have a blockage that one can only hope will one day be cleared. anyway, the video tribute was wonderful and right on; like the creator of that video, you continue to inspire and teach me. you’re 20 years my junior, but clearly an old soul, and much wiser than i’m ever likely to be. cheers, thanks again for all that you do. much love, jonathan L
DW, Thank you. You are a complete stranger to me, but you have helped me in a situation that I felt alone in. I am serving in the military and hate is common place. I started to forget my own beliefs with regard to myself and my place in this world. But I came across your site and it was like a breath of fresh air. I understand your belief in how positive energy can spread… Anyway, there is a lot I would like to say, but I will just say, Thanks Again.
I love how we, the blog buddies, are like one big faceless family. We have never met each other, our faces are concealed by a computer monitor and day after day we come here and we connect regardless of who we are, our age, and our beliefs. We sit in the privacy of our room, library or even a local Starbucks and we allow the light emitted from our computers to silently bleach our skins. As we sit here reading your blogs or watching your videos, we grow a little and possibly define who we are. You have given us a truly incredible gift, the connection of faceless strangers.
I love how all of us can relate to each other in some way. Even though we have never met, I honestly believe that the blog buddies are just that: buddies…friends.
I love how even if we don’t like the same shows or sports or music, we at least have you in common, DaveyWavey. You are probably one of the most influential and inspiring people in my life.
I love you too, and I love all the blog buddies. <3
I LOVE FORESKIN!!!
Amen to that
I just lost my virginity as a blog buddy, figuratively speaking of course
and I’m loving it. What I love about the Blog Buddies is the coming together of such a diverse group of people to share opinions and share the love
blog buddies: i love how you all choose to converge on this one blog, from all walks of life, and apply these valuable lessons to your own life. and in turn, radiate these values to everyone you come into contact with. it makes the world a better place <3
I love the diversity and how we all come from different walks of life, with different opinions.
my comment was deleted : (
D: BOOOOOO!!!!! Resurrect it NOW!!!!!
Erykah Badu’s “New Amerykah: Part Two: Return of the Ankh” also reports that emotions have a vibrational frequency.
I love that the blog buddies provide me with someone who shares my experiences when it seems like nobody else in my life does. I love that blog buddies are always there to give me advice, even though you guys probably don’t even realize it! Finally, I love that the blog buddies are slowly giving me the strength I need to fully love myself and share that love with others
What unit is this vibration measured in? How is it measured? While I think it’s a wonderful message, I question the science used to justify it.
Is your site controlled by a media outlet? Davey, you’re the best. I only discovered the virtues of the foreskin late in life.
i probably don know what to say …….i think blog buddies are just like me……. thinking the same way of what is right and wrong…. which is really hard to find i guess … but am glad that there are some people in this world who supports others
and a big thankz goes to Davey
I have to say that I love how you don’t care what people think of you , then again you have to go through life with people being predijuce toward you and stuff I admire that you actully enjoy that people disagree with you . Of corse I’m straight but I don’t care about sexuality it’s who you are you can’t change that.im glade that your one of the people in the world that oozes every one and wants to spread the world with love and peace . Keep up the good work ps. The foreskin I don’t care i think it’s fine with me at least you have clothes on lol I mean people act like your naked!!! At least your not a porn star hahahah love ya keep it up!!
Davey I love the way you dress. It tells me you care about yourself. I love the blogs you do. You exude confidence. I simply love who you are both inside and of course outside!!
I love your translucent perfect sking that goes so perfectly with your translucent perfect mind -
Davey, You said “I love that you’re not afraid to disagree –- and let me know about it.” It’s sure as shootin’ that you do not mind disagreement, because I certainly cannot agree with all of that New Age muddle-headedness in your posting for today!
Also, as you said, “I love that you share your life with me.” Why not, indeed? Hm-m-m, in that eminently fuckable position in which you pose in the photo to today’s posting, why not share your ass with my pecker, too? Just slip down the knickers (the only thing that you wear), and my fuckstick will glide right in, nice and tight! L.O.L.
Pax, Jerry Parker
Why don’t you stop being a perv? No one wants to hear that crap. Chances are you are a middle aged man (all alone) or a teenager? Damn boy grow up
really? Go away please.
I love that you can express your opinion, and people can hear it. x
I love how most people are friendly and willing to write a quick blurb on here! Really shows how everyone is taking your message! <3
I love ur videos
I love ur Body
I love ur personality
I love ur ideas of making videos
and I love everything u do
I love that all of you are so open to show your love. One person has inspired the expression of such a beautiful emotion through the typing of a few words, and that is the most lovely thing. I love how even when others don’t flat out elicit love, it is still sent their way.
This is only evidence that the source that we each come from and are right now is constantly flowing love through us. That’s what I love!
Davey…on a morning when I am experiencing a very dark mood, mostly about things done to me and the bad things I have done, your recent blog post just lifted me up enough to get up and going.
i love how we have the foreskin in common as well as other ones.
ps you are a great guy i enjoy all the videos i see…. i didnt get to see the pics of the nude guy u cought jerkin off hahaha
please email them to me..
Hey Davey,
One comment before I comment lol…Pride cannot radiate at a 200 if enlightenment is a 700 the only way I can see Pride radiate at a 200 is if it’s selfish pride, beligerant pride or arrogant pride or along those lines… I believe that Pride is one of the best qualities a person may have… it is with Pride absent of arrogance, beligerance, anger… and in fact with compassionate Prides based on the entire qualities that makes us all up and make us all unique with an expectation for those around you too also carry good Pride in this manner… so back to Pride absent of those bad levels of Pride means that we have the ability to accept our whole person which allows us to have uninterupted enlightenment from and through every situation the epiphanies that come when the whole self is respected and loved and others are let known that that is the case.
1. I love the ability to read through the blog posts and see the dynamic of the demographic who post often and comparing it to those who post less often and looking at the comprehensive picture of those who post.
2. I love how interesting it is to see how the experiences of so many of these lives define their perspectives and the way they choose the opinions that they take.
3. I love to see the environmental changes within the posters and well as Davey’s live and how those changes have caused them to progress or depress.
4. I love to hear when someone is fearful, hurt or distraught of some idea or conception of truth within their life/lives and those who have compassion and love find the ability to make a post in response to attempt or try to lift those disraught from their delusion of the need to be fearful etc.
5. I love when a poster has some type of enlightenment from a blog post or from Davey’s post which allows them to be more honest with themselves as well as with those around them/
Cool, thanks Davey never really thought about that before on purpose!

Hey Davey,
It’s funny you mension the electrical aspect of our biology… lol I was at the International Fringe Festival in Saskatoon the other day and there was a man with both in the middle of the street who was selling something… I looked at it and all the items looked like they were the same thing… I guess it was a device that a person would wear to polarize the electrical current going through their body… he said it helped with balance… anyway I usually have really bad balance and it did actually work really well… after I took it off though my heart started to beat really heavy and I could feel the blood pounding through my body very heavy and fast… anyway obviously I didn’t like the product…
The funny thing is I’m a very sensitive guy my physical body tingles and is extremely sensitive to touch (in other words very electric)… the reason I disliked the polarizer thing so much was that I felt after I had removed it that I was restarting a huge power plant that had just been shut down by a wrench that got thrown into the generators…
It’s our electricity that allows the unique biology of our physical selves to have the affect and influence that they do on our surroundings… when things or so grand and expanded on such great levels thanks but I don’t want to turn off my power plant…
LMAO, thanks this blog post just made me think of that Davey
