As you know, I’ve been working on a video project to honor the memory of Ryan, a blog buddy from Utah. Ryan was beating the odds and getting healthier despite a lifetime of ailments when he committed suicide on January 14, 2011. I was supposed to meet up with Ryan less than two weeks later and I’ll never forget the moment when I opened the email from his father.
To honor Ryan and bring awareness to LGBT suicide, I’ve been putting together a video project with the help of blog buddies from around the world. I mailed out filming kits to 15 different countries – and have been collecting videos and audios from more than a hundred other individuals. I’ve been asking the contributors to make a wish related to LGBT suicides. And today, I want to share a few of the clips that I’ve received.
I’ll keep you posted as I continue to edit Ryan’s video. In the meantime, please watch some of your wishes below:

You seem to be working hard on it!
I like to hear all of th wishes and see how everyone has support of someone who could be on the exact opposite side of the Earth and still care about someone they dont know.

Hi Davey,
Looking good… there are a few bugs, though… there are a few doubles and someone gets stuck and it runs for like 5 minutes with no sound and just his face

I wish young people know there are people that have tried to commit suicide, but fortunately they now say: Life is so beautiful.

I cry so deeply when I listen to this thread you are creating, Davey. My gay brother -I am gay too- suicided at age 30. And I wish I could bring him back.

I’m not gay but man I felt that love and support. A revolution you say? Thats what I feel, lets bring it all together and just LOVE!

My beast friend just found gay porn on my iPod. After he confronted me about it I told him that I bought it used and it’s probably theirs. He believed me (miraculously) but I now feel extremely guilty not just for lying but for hiding who I really am. Please give me your advice if I should tell him or not, and coming out advice/stories in general

What with all the pain in the world, I’m so glad to be able to help in an attempt to dispel it. Thank you for working on this, Davey. <3

I wish that more people could see how irrational it is to end a temporary solution with a permanent solution. I wish they knew that their future is not decided, it is made. And most of all I wish they could have at least seen a video like this, or just a couple of Davey’s so that inspiration and love could reach out and touch them, and hopefully be their way out of the bad times. Even if you never read this, thank you so much, Davey Wavey, for making me see the silver lining, I hope you know that you’re an amazing influence. Someday I want to make a difference like you do
