You’re perfect. But you could improve.
Paradoxical? Strange? True? Yes, yes and more yes.
In this moment, you are exactly as you need to be. Because, in this moment, the universe is exactly as it needs to be. That includes the butterflies, the daisies and the hope and the joy. But it also includes the hate, the violence and the death and destruction.
I live in Rhode Island. My boyfriend lives in Toronto. When he visits me, we often take each other for granted. When we’re apart, we’re able to gain a more complete perspective – and, once we reunite, we have a renewed appreciation and understanding. In the same way, hate can reaffirm the importance of love, violence can reaffirm the necessity of peace and death and destruction can teach us valuable lessons about living to the fullest.
I believe that the challenges of humanity can evolve the collective consciousness of mankind.
This world is perfect in the sense that this moment – like all moments – is exactly as it needs to be. But we can certainly improve upon our future moments by working to create a more loving and peaceful planet.
And, of course, you are also perfect. You are exactly as you need to be, right now. But there’s certainly room to grow even more love in your heart and to cultivate the radiant spirit that shines through you like 10,000 suns.

Hey What a great blog it really hits home and explains how we should love ovrselves for what and who we are and we have to realize there will always be someone prettyer then U and there will always be someone uglyer then you. People have to realise this and learn to become comfortable with themselves and like you say Davey there is someone out there for all of us and I wish you and Scotty the very best have a great time in Toronto. Davey I just wanted to let you know that I just did two lifework exercises (self-acceptance and being happy) and they just kind of make me smile and reflect on myself.
I actually started crying at one point when you were talking about choice-making because it just really hit me how much I am in control of my own life. Thank you for making these exercises and I hope others benefit from them as much as I have and can already tell I’m going to.

I assert that you cannot improve upon perfection. I believe each of us – our essential self – is truly whole, complete and perfect. As you cannot add anything to a human to make him or her more human, you cannot add anything to perfection to make it more perfect.
Having said that, perfection can be hidden, covered and obscured. Our essential selves are as vulnerable as they are beautiful and perfect. When we perceive having been hurt or diminished we resolve never to be hurt again. This means putting up shields to protect against the perceived threats and to cover up the perfection. Since there are always chinks in the armour, it’s impossible to completely eliminate the hurts and so we pile more and more armour onto our essential selves in a ploy never to be hurt again.
When we interact with others, we interact mainly among our shields and our covers. The essential self becomes Anne Frank, hidden away in an attic afraid. And in this story, the Nazis are the people around us – or rather the selves projected by their shields and covers. We lose sight of these people as perfect and beautiful people who – like us – are doing the best they can not to be hurt.
The hurt only persists when you resist it – when you are unwilling to experience it fully and move on. With the shields in place, the hurt sticks to us, pervades slowly and caustically and hurts us over a prolonged period like pulling duct tape off a hairy arm slowly.
So yes I believe we are all perfect. And I disagree that we can be improved upon. The challenge to each of us is to allow our perfect essential self to shine though like 10,000 suns and to allow everything in whether we enjoy it or not. Imagine what the world would be like if everyone displayed their perfect essential selves.

I agree with you on almost everything.
Still have trouble handling the idea of perfect beings.
Don’t wanna elaborate much on that but just wanna say this:
Perfection eliminates opinions and differences from reality and history books. As long as there are these things, in any form, we cannot say that we are perfect. Just have to accept our imperfections and move on.

Patrick I can see how the idea of people being perfect can be confronting. Davey failed to distinguish what he meant by perfection in his entry. I believe my understanding of it is similar to his so I’ll give you my take on the perfection of each human being. Use whatever you can and discard whatever doesn’t work for you. This is just my opinion – the place I stand in viewing people.
Each person is whole and complete. Each of us is an integral being lacking nothing. As such, we are perfect humans. That is, nothing can make us any more human. Also, we’ve all had experiences that have helped us to shape who we are. If we’ve been bestowed with the gift of self-determination and are truly whole and complete, these experiences and how we have handled them have all been perfect, too. Based upon our experience we have made decisions along the way that have created our present. Since those decisions and those experiences comprise a whole and complete life, they are perfect too, whether or not they were enjoyable or appreciable or whether we considered them right or wrong, good or bad.
Perfection, as the world defines it, is flawless, ideal, and without sin or moral stain. This is a definition based on value judgments. It implies that anything that is flawed, less than ideal, or that has sinned is somehow less valuable than that which is perfect. I suppose this works in relation to God as perfect. But I believe there is no human any more or less valuable than another. Compared to the divine perhaps we are flawed and less valuable. But consider that God loves us all equally. He created us equal. He is perfect and creates perfectly. Therefore we are perfect creations.

I agree that destruction helps the mankind to evolve. But history teaches us differently.
There hasn’t been a century without a greater war with all war accessories.
Great world organizations have emerged in the past century, but still, this century was born in yet another war.
How long will it take to learn? Never, each generation brings a new wave of ignorance, after all we are born ignorant.
To be perfect, the whole world, from it deepest and smallest society would have to change. Maybe what we need is a gigantic world war, but we already had those, and what is there to learn?

I know that God has been showing me I am perfect how He made me and all the time that I strove to be what others wanted was wasted time and energy. Now I am stripping myself of all hipocrital clothing and standing naked in the light. Perfect in God’s glory. Innocent of
evil. Clean in purity though the world reviles me as the most wretched of all creatures. I am the son of god.

Just to add to what you have said above..
I believe we live in a world of duality. Love – Hate, Peace – Unrest.. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
Just think. When there seems to be so much “evil” happening in the world there is also the same intensity of “good” happening also.
The key is to not be affected by either. Understand that just as a coin has two sides but is one coin so is the nature of this existance.
ie: neither exists without the other. Both are one and the same.. only changed by our perception of and in the moment.

The Tree of Life is the Wisdom of the Eternal Spirit. The Tree of Knowledge of good and evil in the midst of the garden of Eden is the sexual organ. This is the Serpent-Beast-organ of the man or the Hell-Hole womb of the woman.
The Biblical term: To have knowledge of a woman (or man) means to have sexual relations. Sex is the Devil’s method of reproduction and is in direct opposition to the Wisdom of the Eternal Spirit.
Gal. 5:17: “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
Rom. 8:6: “For to be carnally (fleshly) minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.”
Eden: Strong’s Heb. 5730: “To live voluptuously: delight self.” Voluptuous means: “full of, producing, or characterized by sensual delights and pleasures; sensual.”
The Womb of a woman is Hell. Prov. 7:27: “Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.” Prov. 9:18: “But he knoweth not that the dead are there; and that her guests are in the depths of hell.”

Angels and human beings have the power of freedom of will and can choose to follow the Eternal Spirit of Wisdom or the Carnal Wisdom of the lusts of the flesh.
Eve had the freedom of will to reject the urgings of Adam to perform oral intercourse with him. She made the choice – through her freedom of will – to have the knowledge of sexual pleasure.
The morbid curiosity in people leads them to want to obtain the knowledge of the pleasures of the lusts of the flesh. They think: “I wonder how much pleasure I would have if I perform a certain sex act.” “I wonder what kind of pleasure I would have if I would take this drug.”
Prov. 3:18: “Wisdom is a Tree of Life unto them that lay hold upon her and happy is every one that retaineth her.”
Prov. 18:21: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Your freedom of will allows you to reject the lies of the Devil and overcome sex. A person does not have to have the knowledge of the pleasures of the lusts of the flesh.
Your soul (knowledge of self) consists of: “Conscience, Affections, Reason, Memories, Imagination. This is your CARMI” and your guide of your Freedom of Will.
True happiness is being honest – which is following Truth.The Hebrew word for Happiness and Honesty are the same word.
Strong’s Hb. 833: “Asher, ashar, aw-shar; a primitive root; to be straight (used in the widest sense, especially to be level, right, happy); figuratively, to go forward, be honest, proper: – be blessed, happy.”

“Lord” also means “master”. A “master” has slaves. Christianity thought that they would be as Jehovah and placed the black people of Africa into slavery.
Abraham – through the demonic pride of Jehovah (his heart-will-angel-spirit and super-ego) came up with the delusionary lie – that his descendants would be the “chosen people” of the Earth.
Law of the Universe decreed otherwise: “To every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction”. The Universe decreed that Abraham (jehovah) had to come back as Adolph Hitler – who had visions of his “master race” reigning a thousand years over the Earth.
Jehovah, Abraham and Adolph Hitler are the same personality. If you knew you were deceived, you wouldn’t be deceived. How does it feel to know that you are worshiping Adolph Hitler? Hell Hitler!
Adam, Jesus and Liberace are the same personality – having the
heart-will-angel-spirit of Lucifer the Devil, the god of sex. Jesus was the
worst homosexual that ever lived. To show his true nature, the Universe decreed that Jesus had to come back as Liberace.

Religion is the highest form of evil. Worst hoax ever perpetrated on the human race: Premise that Jesus was born of a virgin, died on the cross, arose from the dead, and is God. This was the Devil’s plan to be worshiped as God.
Jesus boasts that he is the “morning star” in Rev. 22:16. He didn’t realize that he was stating that he is Lucifer. Rev. 22:16: “I Jesus have sent mine angel to testify unto you these things in the churches. I am the root and the offspring of David, the bright and morning star.”

Can a human being attain moral perfection and live forever?
Overcoming Pleasure, Power and Popularity (Epitomized by Sex, Greed and Pride) to receive the Eternal Nature of Wisdom, Love and Holiness and partake of the Tree of Life to live forever.
Speech is the epitome of Reason and Wisdom. (Gr. Logos: word, reason, rational): In ancient and especially in medieval philosophy and theology, the Divine Reason that acts as the ordering principle of the Universe.
Reason, rational: Strong’s Concordance: Gr. 3056: “logos log’-os from 3004; Word, something said (including the thought); by implication, a topic (subject of discourse), also reasoning, The Divine Expression.”
Wisdom is the feminine Eternal Spirit that imparts the deep understanding of spiritual knowledge. Partaking of the Tree of Life is
to be unified with Eternal Wisdom and live forever. Gen. 3:22: “Lest he take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:”
Prov. 15:4: “A wholesome tongue (Wisdom) is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit.”.
The Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden is when a person is in unity with the Wisdom of the Universe. The tongue speaks only truth with no perversion in word or deed.
Prov. 18:21: “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Prov. 11:30: “The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”
Prov. 3:18: “She (Wisdom) is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.”
Luke 7:35: “Wisdom is justified of all her children.”
When a human being is unified with Eternal Wisdom, their nature and actions will bring forth the twelve fruit of the Tree of Life (fruit of the Spirit).
Gal. 5:22-23 and 1 Peter 1:4-8 reveal eleven fruit of the Spirit. There are more than eleven moral attributes shown in these two passages. Some attributes are a division of another attribute – as brotherly kindness is a division of Love.
Romans 5:3-5 and 2 Cor. 4:17 show the last of the twelve fruit of the Spirit to be Glory through Tribulations. Fruit is sometimes shown as singular instead of plural – being the collective nature of the Eternal Wisdom of the Universe.
The twelve fruit of the Tree of Life are: Love (charity), Joy, Peace, Patience (long-suffering – Old English), Gentleness, Goodness (virtue), Faithfulness, Meekness, Temperance (self-control), Hope, Knowledge (experience)and Glory through Tribulations.
Rev. 22: 1: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2: In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.”
Wisdom is the feminine Eternal Spirit. Love is the Masculine Eternal Spirit. When Love is made perfect, there is no fear of Death. Death – in a sense – would be regarded as the time of judgment for an individual.
1 John 4: 17: “Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world. 18: There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”
1 John 4:7: “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God. 8: He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
1 Peter 1:22: “Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that
ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23: Being born again, not of corruptible seed (sex), but of incorruptible, by the word of God (Truth), which liveth and abideth for ever.”
Being born of sex carries a nature that is in rebellion against the Perfect Wisdom and Love of the Eternal Spirit.
Gal. 5: 17: “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”
1 John 2:15: “Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh (sex), and the lust of the eyes (covetousness -greed), and the pride of life (self-will), is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17: And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”
John 3:6: “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. 7: Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”

Most people will not like these explanations. However, no one can deny the truth of the explanations as it is simply the etymology (root meaning of the words). As people explore the truth of these explanations,
they will see that this is the answer to their most fundamental desire – to overcome death.
The works of the flesh are diametrically opposed to the fruit of the Spirit. Gal. 5:19: “Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20: Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21: Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
Overcoming sex, greed and pride to attain a wholesome tongue – brings you out of the status of death (born of sex). Your heart-will-angel-spirit in the womb of your soul will be purified and you will receive the Eternal Nature of Wisdom and Love.
In other words, Eternal Wisdom and Eternal Love must come together in the soul (your spiritual womb) for a person to be born again to become a new creation of Holiness and Wholeness and live forever without dying. Can a person have moral perfection in a fleshly body? Yes!
POEM – THE MARRIAGE OF WISDOM AND LOVE.
2.01 The snake in the grass is the sin of sex.
