Conceptually, I understand that no one day is more beautiful than any other; rain, sleet, snow, or sunshine – every day is perfect. Nonetheless, there’s something about a warm, sunny morning that sends my spirit soaring.
This week has been a procession of jealous, late-Spring days – each day trying to outdo the last. The periwinkle sky stretches across the landscape like a great dome, under which all the creatures of creation sing its praise. Even Chipotle (pictured above) seems to have a pep in her step and a move in her groove.
Will has settled into New York City – he seems to be enjoying things. He shares a two bedroom dorm room with six other students. Seven boys, one bathroom (not to be confused with two girls, one cup). I might go out and visit him before I head up to Canada on June 13.
My friend Joey is coming this weekend from New Jersey to stay at Hotel Davey Wavey. Maybe I’ll talk him into doing a talky blog.
Stay tuned, sunshines.
Update: I forgot to include my gratefulness list! Silly me. Here it is:
Today I’m grateful for my Mom, the Sun, Google (believe it or not, I almost took a job there!), the success of my workout videos, and flip flops.

That big round sun looks amazing…oh wait, that’s Davey’s nipple, not the sun. Nevermind.
Enjoy the beauty of spring!

That nipple needs a nipple ring! Haute. Or would that be too slutty?
May 29, 2008 at 1:13 pm
Nipple ring or to be bitten….one of the 2….or both…wait that sounds slutty too.
May 29, 2008 at 3:50 pm
why do men have nipples anyway! Did Mother Nature crossdress a woman format to get the man? just tell me why?
May 29, 2008 at 6:08 pm
To Dwight David – why do men have nipples? To bite and suck and pierce with nipple rings of course! Then enjoy!
May 29, 2008 at 6:39 pm
Just in case anyone is interested in the real reason why men have nipples, here it is: We are mammals and blessed with body hair, three middle ear bones, and the ability to nourish our young with milk that females produce in modified sweat glands called mammary glands Although femaless have the mammary glands, we all start out in a similar way in the embryo. During development, the embryo follows a female template until about six weeks, when the male sex chromosome kicks in for a male embryo. The embryo then begins to develop all of its male characteristics. Men are thus left with nipples and also with some breast tissue. This is why it is possible for men to get breast cancer. However, I like Robb/England’s answer better.

Thank you Dannt in stL, you are my genius of the day. so that’s why I feel and stiffen when I tickle remnant of my female potential embryonically speaking. thank you, tickle, tickle!
May 29, 2008 at 7:24 pm
Danny, nothing in your research about men only having nipple as a place for rings?
May 29, 2008 at 10:43 pm
I asked myself the very same question… then I found a book interestedly called “Why do men have nipples? ” That was cool.
May 29, 2008 at 9:14 am

It’s my 45th birthday today. A good moment to reflect and be grateful.
And grey hairs, Dave? You ain’t seen nothing yet. You’ll learn to be grateful for all the unexpected places they’ll show up.
Cheers!

Happy Birthday! that’s all!

Thank you. That’s very kind. I just had my party tonight with some family, friends and colleagues. An odd combination, but it worked out very nicely. I wish you a very good weekend.

That forehead of yours is gonna be SCREAMING for botox in another 20 years if you keep wrinkling it like that.
May 29, 2008 at 1:36 pm
haha.. i’ve been thinking that for a while now..
May 29, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Why would one want to botox away character lines that it takes years to develope? You end up looking like old plastic people.
I love my lines, I’ve worked long and hard for them.

It is raining here on the Western coast of Wisconsin, but it is a beautiful rain. I am enjoying it much.
Continue to have a beautiful day!

Hello David,
So i went jogging this morning, i appreciated it because it was really sunny and this end of afternoon is still hot outside too (25°C to 27 ° C without wind) . Since the beginning of this week, the weather forecast is announcing day after day an awful weather, rain etc… and, of course, it’s the contrary, hum, in the morning i really don’t know what to wear until i open the rolling shutters of my bedroom.
So, i ‘m glad you appreciate your walk with Chipotle. Try to sunbathe (you’re a little white). Today i saw teens swimming in the sea. I didn’t test its temperature yet, maybe this saturday if not it will be the swimming pool.
I’m really sad that Will has settled into new york… i hope to hear him again ; i’m sure it’s an amazing friend.
It’s a nice picture of you, so if you have only one grey hair, it’s not a disaster !.
good afternoon….my friend.
May 29, 2008 at 2:37 pm
I found one gray pubic hair recently, anyone want to lay claim to it! I did drink too much at that party. and afterwards I felt like I had been taken advantage of, other than that can’t remember much! Beautiful weather for me and my dog and our walks down by the creek!
May 29, 2008 at 1:48 pm
I love your idea that no one day is any more beautiful than any other. I hate it when people use the phrase “bad weather.”
ALL weather is beautiful!
May 29, 2008 at 1:56 pm
what is this penchant you have for photos on an angle?
May 29, 2008 at 2:43 pm
There’s nothing wrong with you or your dog! why would you think that? you are way ahead of most of us by one hundred yards, if you are a winner [and you are] learn to live with it! Teach us how to love and respect you, ’cause that’s what gurus do! beautiful weather all around us, sometimes me and my dog talk about you, well, at least one of us does! g’dday, everybody!
May 29, 2008 at 3:12 pm
beautiful day Davey – the weather’s been miserable here. I know I should be grateful for the rain as it DOES make all the trees greener and the grass lush, it’s just that it can be so cold! lol.
Enjoy your evening.

Who doesn’t love flip flops!
May 29, 2008 at 5:23 pm
Looks like either Pawtucket or Olneyville.
With an outside chance of West Warwick, but lets hope not.
Davey, you gotta move to Westminster Street. That’s where it’s at.

I think that your shows are great… I am constantly in tune with your vids on you tube. I am kind of new to this and belive it or not this is my first blog that i have decided to follow and i can see that it is going to be very interesting. I like the fact that you carry that positive energy around, i try my best to have it as a daily attitude but with people of a vicious world it is quite hard to do so.
I see that the philosophical side of things peak your path and is generally a perk for me since i find myself on a journey as well. I however seek it through writing and poetry.
The fact that this blog is not entirely about you makes it interesting. Colin seems really down to earth and adds value to your talky blogs. Constantly tuned to you tube
Yor new fan justin

May 30, 2008 at 2:45 pm
Yay for your Canada trip. Break the myth that Canada is always cold… you should have a talky blog specifically for that. I love were I live, and I have great summers and some of the best beaches anywhere in the world. Ontario rocks my socks.
May 30, 2008 at 9:18 pm

July 2, 2008 at 6:45 pm
Davey, wisdom and philosophy and perpetually perky nips…how could I not take a second glance…No piercings and plenty of play make Davey a happy boy…delightful, delicious and delovely nipples, dear Davey.
