Revealed: Why Davey Wavey is Always Shirtless.

I think shirts are such peculiar things. For those of you that are unfamiliar with these garments, they are terribly restrictive and strange concoctions of cloth worn over the upper body for purposes of warmth, modesty or decoration.

My typical internal body temperature isn’t the espoused 98.6 degrees Fahrenheit. It’s 97.1. So, it’s my humble opinion that I have an increased tolerance for lower temperatures compared to most humans. Conversely, I have very little tolerance for heat. Both of which play into my shirtlessness.

Even in the coldest of days, my cheeks are rosy and my brows are sweaty. Therefore, a shirt just isn’t a practical option for me. In fact, my mom tells stories of how hot and sweaty I was as a baby – and how I always preferred crawling around in a diaper only.

Beyond warmth, many people wear shirts for modesty or purposes of decoration. When it comes to these miraculous and beautiful human bodies that we all have, there doesn’t seem much to be modest about at all. They are gorgeous, in all their shapes, sizes and colors. And there’s very little that we could put over our bodies that is more glorious than what’s underneath.

Truth be told, my shirtlessness has become a bit of a trademark. And I think that, all in all, it is a trademark that has served me well. I’m sure there is a certain marketing benefit of being in a state of undress in my YouTube videos – and that a number of curious men and women may have watched my videos because of it. But hopefully it’s my message – and not my nipples – that keeps folks coming back for more. If not, I’ll settle for my nipples.

When it comes down to it, shirts just really don’t serve a purpose in my life. And that’s why, for the most part, I don’t wear them.

  1. Davey you are wonderful with or without a shirt!!! Most of these comments have said it so well—you have inner and outer beauty!
Thanks for sharing your smile, your inspiration, and YOUR GREAT BODY! While most of us are far from comparison with you, you have shown us that we should all still be very proud of what we have and love that which we see in others!
PLEASE DON’T COVER YOUR BODY—KEEP YOUR SHIRT OFF, DAVEY!

  2. If we traveled naked we would not need TSA at airports.

  3. That was a great way to approach a lot of people who think you just don’t wear shirts because you know you have a sexy body. I have to admit that you being hot is half the reason I started watching you on YouTube. Te He.

  4. Does anyone really wonder why you are shirtless? Somehow I doubt it! Please just relax and keep breathing!

  5. Thought that was rule #1. I must have an old copy of the Rule Book.

  6. :) Nope. My grandmother was hypothyridic.

  7. Who needs TSA when you have so much TNA? :D

  8. A lot of people probably do. That is why the post was written. I know a lot of my friends always think that David is trying to just attract visitors. But now we know that he just likes being shirtless haha. Doesn’t surprise me.

  9. Freudian – too funny! Love it!

  10. Davey – I thought I was just hypersensitive – my body temp is 97.4 to 97.6 depending on the day. Moved to Florida 4 years ago. Big Mistake – even shirtless its too hot. Want to move back to Vermont. I don’t like pants either but feel the need to wear short pants at least. LOL As for your nipples – now c’mon Davey don’t you remember that vid you made not so long ago and pointed out the nipples. If you were a girl and went topless imagine the str8 guys viewing that! I do love your message though. I know it sounds cheesy but you’re a good guy. Hugs

  11. What if he is like Amadeus Mozart who had no bottom. Ever see a stature of Mozart with a bottom? No one minded except Mrs Mozart.

  13. Hey, guys, I found nude pics of Davey

  14. I agree with what so many have said here, Davey, and feel you need not explain anything to me, you look great, smile super, you brighten my day and you thoughts are an inspiration. Keep doing what you are, and don’t put a shirt on, Peace and Love>>>

  15. Davey you’re just dressing for the job you want, that’s all ;)

  16. I find the 97 degree comment interesting also. My normal temp is 97.5 and find anything above 80 degrees oppressive. I keep the temp at home around 62, which feels perfect.

  17. My body temperature runs lower than average, as well so I well understand what you are saying. If my temp is anything above 97.7, I’m running a temperature. It throws off doctors when I see them for the first time, because they’re thinking, “you don’t have a temperature” when in fact I do. ROFL!

That said, I don’t think most of my friends would want to see me shirtless. I could have gotten away with it twenty years ago, when I was your age — but after surviving cancer and putting on seventy pounds in the process (steroids, etc.) my body looks MUCH differently than it did, even as recently as only four years ago. Enjoy your youth, Davey and pray that nothing happens to get in the way of keeping the body you have worked hard to achieve.

  18. LOL!! I THOUGHT this was you… I haven’t been over on myspace in ages and ages so when I saw your comment here I thought, “could this be the same Jacob?” Good to see you here; take care and I hope all is going well in your life.

    Hugs from Dallas..
    Michael

  19. There’s still one or two places where a weapon could be hidden. I suppose, however it would be much easier to just say, “bend over – we need to search your weapons locker.”

  20. Davey, you are not selling aluminum siding. You are a health, fitness, and wellness instructor. From a marketing standpoint it makes sense to run around without a shirt.
You never see a kitchen apron in a size small that reads *Never trust a skinny chef*.
Every successfull business has a hook to get people through the door. Quality products and services is what brings them back….with a friend.

  21. DW — WHERE did you get that dining room set? Love it. Want it.
