who am I?

Who am I? I’d venture to suggest that we spend our entire lifetime seeking the answer.

Who am I? I am David, a 24 year old male. I am a human with peach skin, brown hair and hazel eyes.

But that is not who I am – those words describe my body, not me.

Who am I? I’m the gaze shared by two lovers in embrace. I’m the wind that traverses this grand planet. I’m the clouds that stretch from horizon to horizon, and the stars that watch over you at night. I’m the uncharted depths of the sea and the creatures that fill the sky. I’m the love that radiates from your heart, basking the universe in its glory.

I’m also the despair that you harbor deep within; the wounds that never healed. I’m the shadows that lurk in your darkest dreams. I’m your last breath and your bleakest hour. When you summon hate, you call my name; when you give hate to the world, you give me.

The universe contains all these things, and as such, they are aspects of me. Light and darkness, yin and yang, I am the complete circle.

But who am I? I strike at the truth with words like arrows at the sea.

Who am I? I know not.

Who am I? I answer in silence.

  3. You are a special person that God has created to bring happiness and hope to people everywhere.

Besides your physical beauty – you are a nice human being who makes us think and ponder every day before we forget that this is one of our virtues as humans.

You are – therefore we are too.

    Like your name.

  4. I’m Jared, and I’m a musician. (I suppose that’s what I do, and who I am is a much bigger thing…)

I am the music that radiates from our very souls, the kind that makes you want to dance, to celebrate life, to love and make love, to lust over another beautiful person, to cry when you feel the world has forsaken you, and then to give you hope when all other forms of it have gone.

    I am the music…

    Love you Davey!

    Ciao – J

  5. David,

if i could see the palm of your left hand, i would be probably able to tell what you are going to be (joke)

i heard this on you tube : ” be proud of what you are and of what you do and what you look like”.

So, i am what i am “my own special creation”.

Immediatly, I am a sportsman who goes to gymnasium in 5 minutes. In two hours, I would be somebody else.

But what i’m sure of, you’re a little poet, and i’m still a fan of yours.

    bye

  6. I will now think of you as the Mystic Peach. “And whosever tastes of the fruit of the Mystic Peach…” [supply the rest]

  7. I’m glad to see that you lean toward some sort of pantheism rather than whorshiping a personalized “God”. That’s only one step from atheism – that’s not too far.

“[...]Who am I? I am David, a 24 year old male. I am a human with peach skin, brown hair and hazel eyes.

But that is not who I am – those words describe my body, not me.[...]”

These words describe you and your body. Your body is a necessary condition for your existence in this world. Without it you’re nothing. Any glitch in the intricated neural network in your brain result in your consciousness being dampened, your conscience rely entirely on bilions of neurons.

If, by some random alteration of your genome you’d receive an additional 21st chromosome you’d now suffer from Down’s syndrome, with your intellectual potential seriously reduced. Your intelligence relies entirely on material, biological structure of your body – an extra chromosome alters that structure changing YOU.

  8. While these disputes are useless, being a body does not preclude being everything else, Danny Darko. Some feel we are souls that have been emodied–and even that the soul chooses the body/life it needs for its developement. Which would make Down’s a possible choice for the souls that have it. Although you may see such a person as simply someone with a reduced intellectual potential, it is impossible to know their experience or how Down’s might add to their experience.

  9. Very interesting self reflection

  10. I will meet you oneday

  11. David,

I found now who i am : an ambulant DNA

(i learned biology (genetic) for years)

  12. Take a walk thru an old pioneer cemetery and you will read: “Do not weep for me, I am not here, for where you now stand I stood in thought and wondered who am I and will anyone remember me? Thank you for recalling me and my time. I am with GOD and HE sends you LOVE, do not weep for me, I am not here!”
“I am nobody from nowhere going no place!”
The freedom of choices and possibilities, sometimes I will be right, sometimes I am going to be wrong. I am who to you, I am who to me?
Time-sharing is life, we are lucky, you and me!

  13. hi everyone, im sorry for going off topic but i havent been keeping up with davey wavey’s blog for quite some time now. if someone could take the courtesy in filling me in aaannnddd yea…

p.s. dont search too hard david! many spend their lives looking for this very same thing so dont waste yours! you are yin and yang, good/bad, love and hate as is everyone. remember to enjoy this moment and cherish the last and look forward to the next because there is no way of stopping them from sliding between your fingers!!!!!!!! dont look to hard, you’re right underneath your nose ;D there is no answer to who you are, but the one you give youself

infinite in faculties, in form and moving how express and

to me, what is this quintessence of dust”

  20. Hi kid, nice blog and nice philosophy. You make old ladies like me feel better knowing we have some hope in the next generation.

May I give you a tip from an old Braud who has lived through World War 2, two Bushes, and an ulcer? Eat more.

  21. Wow. I’ve never met encountered anyone that can be so into themselves. You try not to come off as being arrogrant, but your actions show. You think you’re all that. It disgusts me.

Is it just me, or do you have small hands?

  22. #22 – he is just being who he is – you are not the first to notice the narcissism and arrogance – his pictures and actions reveal all to those of us able to discern true essence from perception – but dont be disgusted ok narcissism strikes a chord within but let him be who he is – its spirit living and expressing through his conditioning and ignorance as he is in the moment so cannot be any other way – he is on his own journey to truth albeit with myriad distractions and diversions on the way.

  23. Hey Donnie Darko,

Looking from the other side, it’s your consciousness that decides your chromosomes, the mind comes first and the rest follows. We only borrow our material for a few decades at the best and then the consciousness just drops the material when the need no longer exists. When perceived this way life, like all energy, is neither created not distroyed. In it’s form as consciousness it just goes on, perhaps taking on other material, as needed.

    Be well,

  24. hello,

may i ask you a “dumb” question ?
the answer will be certainly : NO

but : how tall are you ?

    bye
