My sore throat has moved on up to my nose in the form of snot. I’m not sure if I’m sick or if it’s just allergies – after all, it’s prime Spring allergy season here.
Today was fun; Sarah, Arty and I went to the famous cemetery and walked around for a bit. The old memorials are intensely beautiful… particularly the ones that are more run-down. Here’s a picture that Arty took of one of the pathways:
Arty and I headed off to San Telmo after getting some ice cream and hot chocolate – quite the combination. I think I went into diabetic shock (even though I’m not diabetic) and my pancreas hated me. We ate dinner at a lovely little steak place. I’m going to miss good, cheap steak. Today revolved around eating. As it should.
It was my last real day of exploration. Tomorrow, Arty and Sarah leave – and then Sunday, I peace out. I liked it here, but I’m so ready to go home.
Since my camera is currently out of commission, I wanted to share some pictures that Arty took earlier in the trip. The first one is of the waterfalls in Iguazu. It’s stunning. The second picture is from the local tango club that we visited. The third is from a touristy area called La Boca.

I gave up vegetarianism about 3 weeks ago and I’ve been making up for lost time. Too bad I can’t digest red meat with ease anymore, but steak sounds good.

Arty’s picts are awfully good, especially the cemetery. So much history. Thank him for sharing with us. I would be sad to be leaving Argentina after so short a time, I think.

awww…. eating chocolates could worsen your sore throat. did you knoe that some people are prone of having sore throat or tonsilitis because of eating chocolates? so it is advisable to drink a glass of water after eating a chocolate to wash away excess chocolate in your throat. anyways, i like the cemetery shot. ahm, just drink a lot of water, bring a bottle of water if you’re out, ok? water therapy… hahaha… enjoy!

Dude! Can’t believe you chose to go back home to live with your parents because you didn’t want to be in buenos aires another month.
I wish I was in BsAs! it is one of the most beautiful big cities ever!… but you know, the problem is the people you meet and the area you live… If there’s a next time.. try Palermo.. Recoleta.. Belgrano.. Plus, those areas are soooo gay friendly. ;o) You should have tried harder to meet locals like you did in Montreal, the language barrier killed you.
You didn’t even go to “Amerika” the biggest gay club in south america! Glam sucks and.. youuuu officialy suck!

Loved these pix of BA. I was there this past July and loved it — such a vibrant and exciting place. And the ICE CREAM…to die for!!! So having ice cream and hot chocolate is not at all strange…that’s exactly what I did several times.
