In the indoor pools I use now, only old men wear speedos. Often they’re big dudes, 6′4″. Ample packages, but somehow it doesn’t look very sexual.

I wore speedos for more than 20 years, until the women in my family told me I was showing more than I should. Never felt self-conscious about it, but then I’ve very seldom been perved at by anybody!

In my freshman year of college, I let on that I wore speedos while training to be a lifeguard. The loudmouth bully in my social set quipped “Speedos? That’s the brand that removes all doubt not only about your sex but also your religion!” Even though this was an Ivy League school, the maker of the wisecrack had to follow this up with clarifying remarks… But nobody ever remarked that my wearing a speedo revealed that I am uncut.

and here I’ve been thinking I’m the only one with an exceptionally keen eye for a guys “one eye” as he walks by (the rhyme was purely an accident) love a naked man but sometimes looking through his clothes vs. at his clothes to check out what he has wrapped up in his underwear.. if he even is wearing underwear, how big and how thick is his meat, cut or not, hairy or smooth, does his meat and potatoes swing and bounce with masculine weight or does he grow vs. show and would he put it where u wanted him to if the moment were right then, when you stalk him…er i mean follow him into the men’s loo for a quick look see,the pure joy of having made accurate decisions based on what you observed is like a blast of delicious joy right in your mouth

Ok, so. You’ll need to learn the lingo if you’re going to come to Australia. Speedos are colloquially known as “budgie smugglers” (a budgie, or a budgerigar, being the sort of bird that Tweetie is).

Also, a swim suit is often called a “cozzie” (as in ‘costume’ or ’swimming costume’) or “bathers”. I hear those two (combined) more than I hear “swim suit”.

Times change and so does the culture. We are again in a move toward conservatism.

When I was a kid, the only pool for swimming was the local high school indoor pool. Men & boys swam every Mon, Wed, Fri evening COMPLETELY NUDE. No one ever paid attention to the nudity. That was just the way it was.
At ten or so I took swimming lessons at the local YMCA. Again, all the student swimmers swam nude.

During the 60s as a young man, I always wore speedos to the public beaches off the coast of NC and it was no big deal. A lot of other guys also wore speedos. I’m too out-of-shape to wear them now but I have a brother-in-law who still wears them.

On the other hand, basketball shorts have become very baggy over the years (although there is some move to return to more traditional shorts. International swimming guide line will require males to wear suits no higher than the navel and no lower than mid calf in 2010. Some contemplate a return to speedos.

It has come to my attention that many male college students will not use locker rooms or showers before or after gym classes or workouts. They insist on no shower or returning to their own rooms. Prudes?

One day in a college locker room I saw a guy remove his jeans but put on a jock strap over his briefs. When he returned all sweaty. He took off his jock strap, left on the sweaty briefs, pulled on his jeans and left.

This is all part of changing norms and movement toward greater diversity. Whatever a guy does he does. Personally, I love whatever shows off one’s body in best form and with comfort in who he is.

Aaah! Speedos! Why did they ever go out of style?!! Why?! WHY?!!! Thank you for bringing back the style, and please, don’t ever think that your body is a work in progress, it is not! It is already in very, very good shape and you can showcase a pair of Speedos with pride, as a matter of fact, you can model one each of every color and take a picture of you modeling one and every Speedo you own. So, when will we see your first picture wearing a colorful and Wet Speedo? Tomorrow you say? Wow! I’ll be up early checking your blog!
