I heard the news that Oprah is quitting her talk show. I was shocked. In disbelief! I have grown up with Oprah, letting her into my house each afternoon. What do I do with my life? Do I go into work on Monday? Do I continue to eat? Do I still breath? It will take many days for me to process this news. But here are my initial thoughts:

Good grief Davey! It’s almost two years away. I thought that you didn’t watch TV much.

Not lots of talking for a talky blog :p. You’re amazing, keep up the great posts!

“Whatever.” Too funny!

Oprah was getting too full of herself anyway

Opens up a great opportunity for the Davey Wavey talk show. Jump on it.

Awesome! I think it’s beyond time that she wrap it up

Anyway, I guess it is a good time for her to leave. She wouldn’t choose it without reason… I really liked her, but it is her choice to leave and it is best to leave when you are still good as you were the first days and don’t to stay as much as you can for the price of becoming TV fossil…

AHAHAHAHAHAHAH … you fool! XD

I love you Davey! And, instead of Oprah, I’ll come into your living room and massage you every afternoon! (ok, fantasy) but I still love my Davey Wavey!
Love, Joey

Now she’ll be able to eat all she wants and balloon up to 300 pounds and she probably will.

I haven’t owned a TV in a couple of years, I cut cable about 5 years ago and never really watched her show anyway as I find her vaguely annoying. Something tells me that the Universe will keep on moving whether she drops the show or not.

Davey Wavey..You can eat ALL you want at my place in Jerszzy…as usual(sic!)..hehehe!..Love “your” David

Yes, she’s quitting the Oprah Show just in time to launch the Oprah Winfrey Network. I get a feeling that people will find the trade-off worth it.

Very Funny. Her shows will be missed.

It is not very good that somebody like Oprah monopolizes the screen like she did for years. It becomes an addiction for the television viewers and have a numbing effect on mind.
I think that most Americans miss of critics towards their TV shows. They swallow to easily all they are watching including their ice creams!!
I think it was high time that she quits her talk show.
Be assured she’s quitting with her pockets full of money and personally I don’t think ,you all, will miss her, so why bother?
bye,

I just came across your blog and I really like your perspective on things. It made me want to be more calm.

You say you’ve grown up with Oprah… and while I’m sure you’ve grown up… she’s grown old… I think retirement would do her some good… IF she doesnt go stir crazy and hurt Gaile. I’m just saying.

Sometimes I get sick of Oprah and by sometimes I mean always!

Hi Davey,
you probably heard I’m giving up my talk show. But I am having second thoughts, maybe I just need to have someone else fill me for me a couple days a week. You interested?
Call me!
Love,
O

What is really shocking is that Windows Media,INC has closed it’s doors. The published MEN, FRESHMEN, TORSO, HONCHO, PLAYGUY, MANDATE, INCHES, BLACK INCHES, LATIN INCHES, along with several newspapers, SOUTHERN VOICE, HUSTUN VOICE, WASHINGTON BLADE, also THE ADVOCATE, a magazine that has been on the newsstands for 43 years. The offices of SOUTHERN VOICE, the newspaper I have read for over 20 years, published their newspaper last week Friday and Monday morning the locks on the doors had been changed with a note saying something like, “Thanks for a great run, sorry”. Run to your near by news shop, a gay one preferred, and buy a little piece of history.

Oprah’s show hasn’t been good in a LONG time. It’s about time the tired old goat hangs it up. The church of Oprah must die!
