Live the Life of Your Dreams. [Video]

For 99% of the people watching this video, attitude and perspective are bigger constraints than means when it comes to living the life of your dreams. Instead of making excuses, focus your energy and attention on creating the reality that you so deeply desire. Click below to watch the video via Davey Wavey Raw, recorded at 6am this morning lol – excuse the morning breath!:

  1. great video but this is the same music that my mom’s work plays when you get put on hold lol

  2. I completely agree with you Davey, so many people (myself, at times, included) don’t want to take the risks to realize their dreams. They just live a life doing what’s needed or expected instead of going for what will make them really happy (and because of that, those around them to).

  3. i agree 100% i tell the same thing to my friends all the time ad they just make excuses, i just say “look i know it seems that way, and i feel like my life will never be good sometimes to, but i know there are those times in everyones life were everything is perfect” i don’t think anyone has listened to me yet though =/

  4. I am on my way to living my way! On tuesday i have a job interview and i hope ill get it, it pays as good as it can pay for a fist job. I want to move and continue my studies next year. And want to find a boy friend, and that is a big part of me being happy, getting my first bf. But that’s even harder than raising money for school for me…Not knowing any decent gay guys and being afraid to just go out there makes it even more difficult.

  5. We all have constraints in our lives but all of us also have opportunities. They might not match what we require to fulfil that long held dream. But the thing is that you should not pin your hopes of happiness to a single, carved-in-stone vision of your future.
Those who live their dreams are most often those who looked at the avenues open to them and created a new dream for themselves that matched the opportunities they saw.

Dreams are a little bit like boyfriends in that way. If you can’t get the one you have a crush on you have to stop pining, get over it and open your eyes to all the other ones out there.

  6. Davey I will agree on most of what you said but money or lack of can certainly limit options. The concept it only makes things less risky is true above a certain level of income.

Some people no matter how hard they work or save will never be able to go forward. I know some of them. It’s not just lack of trying but money that has hindered them.

Good, hard working, and ambitious people do fall through the cracks.

  8. Good message, Davey. The lighting in this video is really good!

  9. Davey, I find many of your ideas very inspiring. I cannot let this one go though…you’re pretty, smart, articulate and talented…and you’re lucky enough to not have time yet to have made some bad choices. Choices that you have to live with and that do truly hold you back from your dreams. But, taking what you say to heart, it is what you do with what you have that makes the difference. “feeling sorry for yourself ain’t got nobody noplace!” being 46, married for 16 years, with 3 kids and making the choice to come out has been difficult and painful (emotionally and financialky) but at least I’m starting to be someone I like and I have a long way to go. Keep it up and I’ll keep listening.

  10. Truly inspiring, I take this point of view as well. I view my life through the lens of other people sometimes(guilty as charged) but I am on the road to giving myself what I want and realizing that in the end, I am going to be the one that has to live with the decision I make now.

  11. Does anyone know of some good literature on this subject. I have a good job but I don’t want to do it for too much longer and I have no idea what I would be rather doing ….

  12. If I’d meet you, I wouldn’t want to tell you that things are holding me back, but that watching your videos and reading your blog has given me the positive energy to make a change in my life. I’m not totally happy with things, but I am not complaining, because over the past months alot of things have changed. I’ve lost some friends due to that, but then again they weren’t true friends.

However society sometimes does set some borders. I’ve crossed them and the only things left to do for me is to move on(read: move abrod) from my tiny country. Due to uni I’m still stuck here, but I have the feeling of power that I can :)

    Thank you Davey.

  13. How to get friends? How to figure out what I want? I am very far away from my family, school friends and feeling a little bit like having no real goal in life…

  14. I probably believe that all of us can fulfill our dreams…because we are leading our life :) And its up to us to take our first step if we did we would continue to fulfill what we wish for :D And i believe it would be really fun and obviously we would enjoy our life :)

  15. It depends on how you view money, and your relationship to it. Does it limit options? Or does it allow opportunities for new options? For instance, if I REALLY want a pair of shoes (which I coincidentally do…lol), and I don’t have the money for them, I can either be sad and feel limited, or I can say “Sweet…time for a challenge it seems! How can I go get this money?…” And the same is said for any purchase/expense.

  16. I recommend two books:
    1) “The 5 Laws that Determine All of Life’s Outcomes” by Brett Harward (you can find it on Amazon.com) and
    2) “Four-Hour Work Week” by Timothy Ferriss (I’m sure you can find that on Amazon too)

  17. Thanks I will look them up

  18. Wonderful post. Pragmatic, yet inspiring. Doug

  19. Good job DW. Love it. This is exactly what the young guys need to keep hearing. Until they get it. You are right on. Peace brother.

  20. So true, Davey. We stand in our way too often. I have an opportunity looming that would move me to Europe (my dream) from the NYC area. At the same time, in the past 20 months of unemployment I have found myself soul-searching and come up with several things that are producing revenue. So my choice will be to stay and pursue these dreams or go back to a conventional career track. My current inclination is to run with the dreams. I am loving the independence and the joy it brings to my creative spirit.

  21. Very well spoken! :)

  22. Yes, Davey, very well said! There’s no valid reason for not living our dreams. For me at the moment, its working full-time as a concierge weekdays and then doing photography and blogging outside of work. I hope to start a photography business soon and then carry that into my retirement years.

My bf asked me to take him to Germany, so I said yes and we’ll go next summer. Once I put my mind to a task and keep focused, it happens! This will be my fourth time back to Europe where I was born (Germany). For my bf, it’ll be trip of a lifetime, and for me it’ll be awesome to share an adventure together with someone I love and appreciate!

    Thanks for posting the subject!!!

  23. Thank you for the reply. I agree on refocusing but that’s not what I meant.

  24. No doubt anyone can make life at least a little better for themselves just by changing their mindset. Finding something you’re talented at, and sharing that talent with others is a great way to start! You’re such an inspiratin Davey… XOXO

  25. you nipples make so much sense and make great videos in general :P

  26. Following one’s dream is important, but we need to be careful not to be too self centered. We are most at peace, experience the most joy in life, when we are one with our dreams and one with the universe/our higher power/god. That’s when dreams become reality . . .

  27. Davey i Love your blogs And videos you inspire me in every way i could also use a new ipod to replace my old one.

  28. Great message!!

  29. If I’d meet you, I wouldn’t want to tell you that things are holding me back, but that watching your videos and reading your blog has given me the positive energy.

  30. but Davey if i did meet you i bet we have alot in common like travels & etc…

    Fritz miniutti

  31. I couldn’t agree more with what you said. I quit my job 6 months about and follow my dream to become a fashion photographer, which I have been passionate about for 2 years. I’d say I am doing pretty well at the moment and I am living my dream. Yes, money is a problem but the biggest problem is people around me. They try so hard to put me off the idea that living the dream is impossible and having a 9-5 job is everyone’s dream as unemployment rate is getting higher. People can’t seem to understand the idea of living a dream but instead whatever makes more money equal living a dream. Living a dream is not just about being passionate with what you do but also having thick skin and preparation for continuation of criticism and disagreement. I for sure is very happy with my life, not sure about people who are trying to hold me back! Peace out…:D
