The 10 year rule offers good advice, particularly about frustrations heading in one direction when I really am meant to go in another, but don’t know what it is yet. Discernment is never easy, and your advice to watch for the right opportunity and then jump on it is only possible when I’m living in the moment, optimistic, and not stubbornly staying on a wrong path.
Very wise words; however, OMG, do you kiss your mother with that mouth? What’s with the F-Bomb? Perhaps we need a lesson on the power of words – maybe I’ve given the F-Bomb more power than I should???
Perhaps one of the things you won’t remember in ten years is your annoyance that you were slow in getting the video rolling for “the people.”.
Hugs and peace.
Luv your optimism! Keep it up! Also, you may not conciously remember some of those things, but you learned from them. Because, I know you don’t hit your head on the fridge everyday! LOL! Stay sweet and optimistic, that is why i subscribe.

Why wait 10 years? Most of the things that piss us off won’t matter in 10 days! Something I try so hard to remember when I have PMT…but fail! I saw it referred to as ‘giving up your peace’ and I love that. You are such a wise soul! xx
Hey davey I’m back I could get away from you your blog is so addicting hahah I love this new video. I hope that I wont remember what wmbrassing things happen to me years from now b/c im just very clumzy. Cya Davey Cheers!!!
LOVE the 10 Year Rule – really puts things into perspective I think all too often we allow ourselves to become haunted (excuse the halloween pun) by things that just really don’t amount to anything in the big scheme of things.
Wow, I think your blogs have gotten even more risque since you found out your mother might be watching. What would Freud have to say about that? LOL I love it.
Love the video!
That is the idea that I try to apply each day of my Life…
And everytime that someone fucks with you, it`s better think that you will learn something with that, because if you start to hate this people you will get angry and the angry feeling makes the world and people uglier
I watched your video 3 times..the first w/o sound..interesting…the second with sound…found OUT what it was ALL about…and lastly the third to offer a comment…and decided I wanted to kiss ALL the parts you hurt..your head on the refigerator…your buns that went bumping down the stairs(less the pants(of course!)..and your toes that you stubbed..to make ALL feel better….Forget the 10 years..I mean right NOW!..Did I ever tell you about my 40 yr. plan?..Well! Maybe some night soon..ok?
Love the “peace out ” beat at the end – must be the scotty dynamo influence…….oh and watch the f-bombs – there is an inverse correlation between intelligence and frequency of f-bombs…..
Davey never change the way you are your great person, i have all the troubled teens i deal with watch your cite and it really helps them, and me thanks a bunch
Thanks. I use the phrase, “in the grand scheme of life, just how important is this issue?” As a supervisor at work, it comes up from time to time. Randy
I’d have to agree with what a couple of others have said. It’s not necessarily the 10-year rule. Sometimes it’s the 10-day rule. Other times it’s the 20-year rule.
The important thing is having a “this-pain-won’t-last-forever rule.”
Events are temporary. Feelings change. True love, true hope, and true joy, among other things, last forever.
Nice video post Davey! I like your way of thinking! You really need to watchyour mouth, though, ’cause now you KNOW your Mom’s probably watching these! = P Have a great day! Thanks again for sharing your thoughts!
The 10 year rule is so true, yet hard to put into practice when your in the moment. However, I shall try much harder to make sure I can use this rule more often!
Oh man, I only just watched this one today, but it was great timing. Some nasty stuff happened at work today — to the point where I left early and sent out a bunch of resumes LOL, but this vid really does put it all in perspective. As much as today sucked, I probably won’t care it then anymore than I care now about that detention I got from Mrs. What’s-her-face when I was ten.

Does your 10-year rule apply to people as well?
That is my segue to this question—what’s up (literally or figuratively) with you and Will?
I miss Will talky blogs!

haha, very funny video! Although your videos seem to be changing less spiritual lately but I still like them
I love the way you think and it really does make sense. For example, having a really good teacher but is strict. In the long run it will be better.
Happy Halloween!
