Jesus told us to do unto others as we want done to ourselves. Buddha took it a step further and said consider others as yourself.
In truth, there is no distinction between ourselves and others. Separation is an illusion perpetrated by society and our senses. We cultivate egos and identities. But we know that scientifically, there is no clear physical distinction where we “end” and someone else “begins.” We are just a cloud of energy and information blinking on and off at the speed of light. When you breath in air that someone else exhales, at what point is the air them and at what point is the air you ?
There is just one life coexisting through many different forms. But it’s the same spark. My life is your life. It’s all one big circle. The sun gives off light which grows plants which nourish my body which observes the sun. When I look at the sun, I’m just looking at myself. I came from the sun. I am the sun.
I guess it’s a hard point to explain. But it’s much easier to know. And it’s very easy to feel. It’s easy to feel the connection that we have with the universe.

Love others as you love yourself!
Matthew 19:19
Jesus replied, ” ‘Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother,’ and ‘love your neighbor as yourself.’ ”
Luke 10:27
He answered: ” ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’ ; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ “
