This morning was beautiful. I woke up around 7:00 after 10 hours of rest. I rolled around in my underwear for a while and decided that I’d skip the gym because my body said so. I munched on some cereal and soy milk and wandered into Dupont Circle to shop the farmers market. I smelled the flowers and tasted the samples; the farmers market appeals to each of the five senses in its own beautiful way. I stopped by the bookstore and bought “Everyday Wisdom” by Dr. Wayne W. Dyer. I picked up some grass-range eggs and some bison hot dogs. I stopped at Whole Foods for some avocados and hot dog buns. Then, I made myself the biggest, fattest avocado, pepper, onion and jack cheese omelette that the world has ever seen. I washed it down with a quarter pound bison hot dog – cooked to perfection.
I worked on some website projects for a half hour, and then opened the book that I bought. It’s just a book of quotes by Dyer – each on it’s own page. Page 10 said, “Ultimately, there’s nothing to forgive because there’s nothing to judge and no one to blame.” It was what I needed to hear. I curled up on my comforter, with the sun dancing across my chest and let it all go. No grudges to hold. No negativity to bottle up. I released all that I had.
