Today, my boss mentioned that because my job is so tech-heavy, I could do it from anywhere, and that I don’t have to move to Boston. She said I could stay in DC, or move anywhere in the world and that I’d still have my job with Family Pride. It’s funny, because that’s what I’ve been hoping for this whole time. I think that the probability of me moving to Boston with Family Pride are slim to none. I think they’re looking to relocate much sooner than I’d be able to.
Still, Nick and I are going to visit Boston in April to full explore the option. I need Nick to see Boston so that we can make an educated decision not to move. Nick’s not excited about the trip, and he won’t say why. I’m looking at Nick’s wish list right now. It says, “I want to go on more trips.” Well, here’s a trip, and we’re not paying for it. It’s a free trip to a city he’s never visited! I’d say that’s pretty exciting. Since Nick isn’t excited, I know that there is something more to it. But, he won’t share that with me. I’d be willing to bet that it’s because it’s further away from his brothers. Articulating feelings is something he still struggles with.
Anyway, move or no move, it’s an exciting time. I hope Nick can start to share in that excitement and be more helpful during this process.
