sorrow is sweet.

Today’s reading was about viewing grief as a blessing. The author suggested asking yourself, during a sorrowful moment, “Do I have to suffer now, inside as well as outside, over this loss, which I will ultimately come to see as a blessing?” When we fall, it gives us the energy to propel ourselves to a higher level. When something “bad” happens, we later look back and realize it was for the better. It was part of our journey and it was something that we needed to learn or experience. It’s why Rumi says sorrow is actually sweet; sorrow is a good thing. It’s all how you look at it.
